Winter Trout Lakes
Some Saint Louis lakes are stocked with rainbow trout for winter fishing. They are stocked November thru February at the following locations:
Lakes 21 and 28 August A. Busch Conservation Area
Boathouse Lake in Carondelet Park
January-Wabash Park Lake
O'Fallon Park Lake
Suson Park Lakes 1, 2 and 3
Tilles Park Lake
Walker Lake
Vlasis Park Lake

Fishing Report:
12/23/99 Lake 28 at Busch Wildlife Area approx 2:30pm: Most of the lake is covered with ice. I fished for about 3 hours. Caught one rainbow trout about 12" long using brown hares ear lead weighted nymph hook size 16. One got away for another day.
6/27/00 Tilles Park Lake: Caught about 5 bluegill no bigger than 5" long. Used green hares ear lead weighted hook size 16.
2/16/02 Tilles Park Lake: Fished for about 2 hours and none caught. I only seen about 3 trout jump up the whole time I fished there.
